Welcome to my reading journey! I am a SLOW reader! As a result, I don’t read that much. As I have followed business leaders and entrepreneurs, a common theme has come up. They all read regularly, and a lot! Hmmm. That causes a problem because I’m a slow reader.
I came across this video which recommended to combine reading a book and also listening to the audio book at 2x speed. I also came across a video from Thomas Frank where he talks about how he came across the goal of reading 25 pages a day. Forget the goal of reading so many books a month or year. Focusing on 25 pages a day will stack up very quickly.
Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.

The reading journey goal
I’m starting out with a small goal of reading at least 25 pages a day for three months. I’m going to the end of September, so it is really about three and a half months. I will see how that goes and increase from there. I want to keep the goal small instead of a lofty goal of like reading 4 books a month, or reading x pages for the rest of my life. I don’t know that those would be realistic and/or achievable. So, keep it simple. The sheet above will track my progress.
The other part of this goal is that I want to focus on non-fiction. Something that will help me grow as a person and as a business leader. Maybe even an entrepreneur someday.
